Seattle Humane Announces Incoming CEO

Dear Seattle Humane Family,

On behalf of the CEO Search Committee and the Board of Directors, we are pleased to announce the selection of Christopher Ross as incoming CEO of Seattle Humane.

We extend our most heartfelt thanks to Paula Littlewood for her leadership as Interim CEO over the last year, empowering Seattle Humane with innovation and creativity during the pandemic, and for her support in the rigorous search process.

Our committee was focused on finding a passionate leader to build on Seattle Humane’s success in saving lives and completing families – and to guide the organization into the future amidst massive changes in animal welfare. We wholeheartedly believe that Christopher, who comes to us with a deep reservoir of corporate and nonprofit executive experience, as well as a profound love for animals, will be that leader for Seattle Humane.

Christopher joins us from Compass Housing, where he served as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to Compass, Christopher held executive roles in several startups and growth companies, built and led advancement teams at City University of Seattle, and led numerous operational teams at Starbucks. He has two dogs, and an appreciation for cats and critters, as well!

Please help us warmly welcome Christopher into our Seattle Humane family. He will officially join the organization in mid-January of 2021.

Sincerely,

John Wenstrup
