Tuxes & Tails was the paw-ty of the year!
Our Rescue Squad wagged those paddles high and together with generous corporate matching gifts raised $1.5 million in support of pets and the people who love them during our 2024 Tuxes & Tails gala! What an incredible Day of Giving!

Wiggle & Wag Storytime
Saturday, November 9 | 2-3 p.m.

Bring your little ones to the shelter on select Saturdays to play and learn together. We’ll read a story together, work on a craft, and practice respect and appreciation for pets. Wiggle & Wag Story time is for 3-7 year-olds and there is some “wiggle room” for older or younger siblings. Adult supervision is required. The cost is $20 per family. Drop-ins accepted as space allows.

Pet First Aid Basics
Thursday, October 24 | 4 to 6 p.m.
Seattle Humane, 13212 SE Eastgate Way, Bellevue, WA 98005
This is a two-hour class for anyone with pets in their lives. We will focus on prevention and early identification of pet emergencies and practice techniques for bleeding control, giving CPR and helping a pet who is choking.

Workshop for Young Teens
Monday, November 11 | 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Seattle Humane, 13212 SE Eastgate Way, Bellevue, WA 98005
For youth currently in grades 6-8. Socialize with other animal lovers while learning about how animal shelters operate and working on service activities together. Earns three hours of community service.

Pet First Aid & Disaster Response
Saturday, November 16 | 1-5:30 p.m.
Seattle Humane, 13212 SE Eastgate Way, Bellevue, WA 98005
This is a four-and-a-half hour class for people who are looking for a more comprehensive understanding of emergency care, including how to prepare for situations that require evacuation or sheltering in place. Participants will receive a copy of Pet First Aid and Disaster Response Guide. Successful completion of the course earns a certificate from the Emergency Care and Safety Institute, perfect for pet professionals!

Dog Training
A well-trained dog is a happy dog! And makes for a happy owner! Seattle Humane offers a variety of dog and puppy training courses. Our effective, positive-reinforcement based training classes focus on good manners in the real world, socialization, bonding and giving you the tools to prevent or address behavior challenges.
