Sefair Pirates “It was an amazing evening among caring and generous community leaders who attended to have fun and celebrate the magic of the human and animal bond," said Brenda Barnette, chief executive officer. “We are so grateful to have the wonderful support of our donors and volunteers.”

Jim and Bet SchulerThe special “Fund-a-Need” portion of the live auction raised $290,000 to provide rescue, surgery and medical care to dogs suffering from broken bones, bite wounds, and infections.  See a special video here.  This fund allows the Seattle Humane Society to rescue these dogs from public shelters, and provide them with the medical care they need to be healthy, happy and adoptable. The $50,000 lead gift for this fund came from Jim and Bet Schuler, and is named in memory of their dog Lexus. Donations to the Lexus Fund can be made on our Donate Now page.
