If you’re 13-17 years old, you’re invited to help animals at Seattle Humane. Although our regular volunteer positions aren’t open to people under age 18, we can help you get involved on campus and earn community service hours.
Humane Teen Club
Humane Teen Club (HTC) is a junior volunteer and teen development program for animal lovers who are 13-17 years old. During the school year, members meet two Saturdays per month to learn about operations at Seattle Humane and explore a variety of animal welfare related topics. Upon completion of the program, graduates are eligible for select volunteer positions at Seattle Humane, including special summer opportunities.
The application period has concluded for the 2020-21 school year. We will begin accepting applicants again in May 2021.

Complete A Service Project
Need community service hours for school? We can help with that!
You can organize a drive to gather donations of pet food, supplies, toys and cat litter. We distribute these to low-income pet owners, seniors, and pet owners living with HIV/AIDS or cancer. Consider distributing Kindness Cards to make an impact in your community. You might find that pets need help in your very own neighborhood.
You can also help raise money for pets by holding bake sales, yard sales, craft sales, participate in walk-a-thons, and much more! Feel free to use your imagination to come up with a fundraising idea. Our online fundraising website People Helping Pets can also help you collect donations at your event.
