At Seattle Humane, we believe in teaching the next generation about humane animal care. Whether they’re reading with our cats or making new friends at day camp, your children will love coming right into the shelter for fun and learning. It’s good for our pets — and it’s great for your kids!
We offer youth programs that make a difference
There is still a chance to register for the following sessions of camp:
Critter Camp (ages 7-9) August 19-22
Calling all animal lovers! Time to focus on ALL types of creatures and learn about less traditional pets such as bunnies, rats, hamsters, reptiles and more. Meet some adorable shelter animals and learn how we care for them! Encounter exotic guests, play games, and make new friends. Practicing empathy and compassion for all critters will help children create bonds with animals and people alike.
Arts and Animals (ages 10-12) July 29- August 1
Does your child love art AND animals? What a perfect pair! Campers will experiment a variety of artistic mediums including paint, photography, and drama. As with all Animal Adventures camps, there will be time for games and animal interactions to get those creative sparks going!
