I want to volunteer : At Home
How You Can Help From Home
Immediate Foster Homes Needed! Come to a Cat Foster Orientation to learn how you can become a volunteer hero by opening a spare room, garage or basement to foster kitties! And plan on leaving with a fabulous new feline friend! The Foster Orientation will be held here at The Seattle Humane Society. Please call us at 425-641-0080 for more information. This is open to anyone who has a big heart and some extra room in your home!
Foster Parent Program
Our volunteers foster more than a thousand animals each year! The care these dedicated volunteers provide is invaluable, both to the animals and to the people who adopt them. You can foster as much or as little as you like, and we need foster homes for a wide variety of animals - kittens, puppies, cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs and other small animals! Fostering is a rewarding and enriching experience, and is a great volunteer project for families or individuals who love animals but cannot commit to having a full-time animal companion.

Time commitment can range from one to eight weeks. All you need is a room (even a bathroom) and some spare time. We provide all supplies and any necessary medications. To join the foster program, email volunteers@seattlehumane.org for a list of our upcoming HS101 volunteer orientations.
