Education Coordinator

We have a terrific opportunity in our Education department. The Education Coordinator is responsible for  implementing and managing Seattle Humane’s educational programs for children, teens and adults. Our programs are designed to engage and inspire participants, and establish Seattle Humane as the primary learning center in King County for companion-animal related topics. These programs include, but are not limited to, our Humane Teen Club, Summer Camp, and Teens for Animals programs, as well as Maxmobile visits to schools and community events.
The successful candidate will have proven people management and leadership skills, affection for animals and concern for their welfare, and the ability to communicate skillfully and effectively with a culturally diverse group of staff, volunteers and community members. This role includes hands-on teaching, curriculum development, and program management.

Development Director

The Development Director oversees all of Seattle Humane’s day-to-day fundraising activities, with the exception of major and planned gifts. This senior level position includes directing the annual giving program, special events, third party fundraisers, workplace giving, grants and special fundraising drives. S/he reports to and works closely with the Chief Advancement Officer (CAO) in all development and fundraising strategy and endeavors. S/he works closely with the Director of Major Gifts and Planned Giving to ensure both divisions’ programs and objectives are supported and advanced. S/he communicates and works frequently with the Marketing Director and the Chief Financial Officer to ensure constant communication and progress towards both separate and joint objectives. Develops and implements strategic plans and annual budget goals for the division and tracks progress towards monthly, quarterly and annual revenue goals.

Lifesaver Program Coordinator

We are currently accepting applications for a Lifesaver Program Coordinator! Seattle Humane's Lifesaver Rescue Program is one of the most robust and hardworking transfer teams in the country. The Lifesaver Program Coordinator is responsible for facilitating the transport of thousands of pets each year from sources around the country to Seattle Humane, but most importantly from shelters close to home. This job requires extreme creativity, a very strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and compassion for both pets and people. Qualified applicants must be able to manage multiple projects at once. If you’re both a “people person” and an “animal person”, this job might be perfect for you!

Transport Driver

Do you love to drive and love pets? Seattle Humane has an exciting opportunity! The Transport Driver is responsible for driving pets to Seattle Humane from various locations both within and outside of Washington. He/she supports the Lifesaver Rescue Program and assists animal processing. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, work well with people and love pets!

Dog Training Instructor

We are seeking an experienced dog training instructor to teach puppy and adult dog manners classes for our new adopters and the general public. Veterinary Assistant

Seattle Humane is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join the shelter’s clinic team. We are seeking someone with experience and a strong interest in surgery and anesthesia for an expanding surgical program. The ideal candidate will also be comfortable working with senior veterinary students. Strong communication and teamwork skills and a commitment to providing a high level of care to the clinic’s patients are a must. The ideal candidate should share our lifesaving mission and be forward thinking.

Licensed Veterinary Technician

We are seeking Amazing Superhero Licensed Veterinary Technicians to work in the Seattle Humane Veterinary Clinic. 
Seattle Humane promotes the human-animal bond by saving and serving pets in need, regardless of age, ability, circumstance or geography. We are searching for Veterinary Assistants who can join us in our mission and continue to grow and improve our excellent programs.

Seattle Humane Licensed Veterinary Technicians are responsible for:
 -Daily care of all shelter animals and surgical patients
 -Daily care of all shelter animals and surgical patients
 -Assisting Veterinarians and Licensed Veterinary Technicians with pre-, peri-, and post-operative care of patients
 -Running diagnostic test
 -General cleaning
 -Following patient care protocols
 -Providing positive guidance to the Veterinary Services Team
 -Pre medicating, inducing, intubating, and prepping patients for surgery

Candidates must have a commitment to the safe care of animals and be open to learning new and advanced shelter/clinic care techniques. The opportunity for positive change will present itself daily and embracing it is how we better serve our patients and clients. This is a full-time permanent position.

Veterinary Associate

We have a great opportunity available for a Veterinary Associate in our Vet Services department! The Veterinary Associate is responsible for handling incoming calls; email correspondence and other functions for spay/neuter appointments, intake and discharge, public microchips and other supportive duties assigned in a veterinary clinic and shelter. We are looking for someone with great customer service and multi-tasking skills, and who loves to interact with people as well as animals!

Animal Care Assistant

Here at Seattle Humane, we care for hundreds of fabulous felines and cute canines every day and each one requires care tailored to their needs. From feeding and cleaning to grooming and moving, an Animal Care Assistant’s job is fast-paced and fun.
