Free Pit Bull Spay/Neuter in June

Seattle Humane Society has openings for 25 FREE Pit Bull spay and neuter surgeries during the month of June to qualified income households.

Through no fault of their own, Pit Bulls end up in shelters more often than any other breed. Spaying and neutering helps reduce shelter surrenders, pet homelessness caused by unplanned litters and the risk of many cancers.

Spay/Neuter Services

Spaying or neutering your pet is great for their health and great for our community! Fixing your pet is a great way to help reduce pet homelessness every year caused by unplanned litters.

Animals must be at least four (4) months of age. Our services are for income-qualified households.

Please note that other fees may apply if the animal is in heat, pregnant, aggressive, has undescended testicles, or has fleas. Animals should be current on vaccinations at time of surgery. If necessary, FVRCP (cat) or DA2PP/Bordetella (dog) booster vaccines can be given at the time of surgery for an additional charge.

 

Income-qualified households
We can only spay/neuter pets belonging to owners with an income that is less than 80 percent of the median family income in their region. Please refer to the chart below to see if you qualify.

Mom's Last Litter Program
We offer FREE spay surgeries for any female or male cat or dog brought to our shelter with their litter by their income-qualifed pet owner. The parent animal will be returned to the owner and the kittens or puppies will be adopted out. Please call (425) 649-7561 to schedule these appointments.

Fix Your Feline - Discount Spay/Neuter Events
Seattle Humane holds Fix Your Feline events four times a year at our Bellevue campus from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. For upcoming dates in May, August, and November of 2013, click here.
