Walk for the Animals - A Record-Breaking Success!
Woof, meow, and thank you for making this Walk for the Animals our most successful yet!
More than 1,000 animal lovers and their furry friends gathered at Seattle Humane Society’s 9th annual Walk for the Animals, raising more than $145,000 for the animals! These life-saving funds will help Seattle Humane provide food, shelter, and medical care to thousands of pets in need in our community.

The top fundraiser in the 12-and-under age group was Grace Nieman who raised $900 for the animals. In the 13-and-over category Karen Elkin raised $1,900; and the winning team, the Pound Puppies, raised an incredible $4,195 for the animals!
After the Walk, the celebration continued at FidoFEST – a celebration of all things dog that also benefited Seattle Humane. The crowds delighted in pet-friendly booths, canine contests, fun, food, and prizes! The event was presented by Safeway and supported by Carter Subaru.
