Catapalooza A Huge Success!
130 Pets Adopted Aug. 13-14
The Seattle Humane Society's 6th annual cat adoption extravaganza was a huge success, placing 130 homeless, abandoned and surrendered pets into loving homes of their own. Sponsored by 94.1 KMPS, Catapalooza brought together 9 local adoption organizations and rescue groups for cat adoptions, prize drawings, children’s activities, and fun cat-related demonstrations and products.
Hundreds of people attended this family-friendly, two-day event that celebrates all things cat! This great event featured face-painting and crafts for kids, several kitten tents, and educational presentations. Even the shelter’s dogs got into the act, sporting bandanas that say, “Adopt a Cat!”
Activities both days included:
- Tellington Touch (TTouch) for Cats healing bodywork demonstrations.
- Face painting, cat-toy making and education stations for kids.
- Expert cat advice and information.
- MaxMobile adoption vehicle on site with our special cats on board.
- Cat-centric art, treats, leashes, collars and more!
Local cat adoption agencies joined in on the fun:
Humane Society for Tacoma/Pierce County, South County Cats§ Seattle Persian and Himalayan Rescue, Feral Cat Spay/NeuterProject, PAWS, MEOW, Pasado’s Safe Haven
