Workplace Giving
Do you work for a company that participates in workplace giving campaigns? All you need to do is indicate that you would like your payroll deductions to benefit the Seattle Humane Society. If you give just $10 out of each bi-weekly paycheck, you will be able to give a total of $240 a year! That $240 will go a long way toward saving the lives of the many abandoned kittens and puppies who come through our doors each week.
Give a Gift of Stock
There are significant tax advantages to giving stock or mutual funds to the Seattle Humane Society, and the process is easy. Simply instruct your broker to electronically transfer your intended shares to The Humane Society for Seattle/King County, tax ID# 91-0282060. You may use this sample letter to facilitate your request. Be sure to ask your broker to notify us once the transfer is complete. Coins that Count
Give us your coins and we'll make some change! The Seattle Humane Society partners with Coinstar Inc. to offer the Coins that Count program. Simply take your jar of unsorted coins to a participating supermarket, dump them in the Coinstar coin machine, designate the Seattle Humane Society by punching in our unique C.O.I.N. # 0080 and walk away with a tax deductible receipt for your effort. Please note, this program will be ending in January 2013.
