Animal Care Assistant
Here at Seattle Humane, we care for hundreds of fabulous felines and cute canines every day and each one requires care tailored to their needs. From feeding and cleaning to grooming and moving, an Animal Care Assistant’s job is fast-paced and fun. Individual Giving Director
Connect donors with the mission of Seattle Humane – bringing people and pets together – in personal and meaningful ways. For more than 115 years, Seattle Humane has been saving lives and connecting people with pets.
We’re adding an accomplished fundraiser to the Development team to continue this tradition.
The Individual Giving Director is responsible for the overall performance of the annual giving program, direct mail program, solicitation of donations on the Seattle Humane campus, and maintaining high standards in data entry, donor relations and customer service. The Individual Giving Director is a key participant in building positive relationships with supporters, acquiring and retaining new donors, increasing donor involvement with Seattle Humane, and implementing multi-channel giving appeals to broaden Seattle Humane’s base of support. The Individual Giving Director supervises the Donor Services team and the Donor Services Analyst.
Required: Four year college degree or equivalent professional experience. Must have excellent writing skills and be able to read, write, and communicate verbally with colleagues, leaders, and donors. Must have organizational and planning skills to be able to determine work priorities, schedules and timelines. Must be proficient in Word, Excel, email and Internet use; and have an advanced level of knowledge relational databases. Must be familiar with direct mail and online giving strategies. Preferred: Proficiency in donor management software, including but not limited to Luminate Online and Raiser’s Edge. At least one year supervisory experience preferred.
Do you have heart, and great customer service skills? Seattle Humane has an exciting opening for an Admissions Advisor. You must be compassionate, have great customer service skills and a love for all animals! You will be working between the public and multiple departments within the shelter. Must have strong communication skills, be able to motivate others and maintain a positive attitude in difficult situations. Shelter experience and animal handling background will put you ahead of the pack! Must have good computer skills and be able to work independently. This is a full-time position working both weekend days.

If you are a people-person who would love to help animals find a home of their own, this position may be just right for you! The Adoption Advisor is responsible for working with the public to match the appropriate animal to the interested applicant. You must have terrific customer service skills, an outgoing personality and great juggling skills - lots of multi-tasking. We have a full-time position available.
