Shelter Clinic Manager

Seattle Humane has an exciting opportunity for a Shelter Clinic Manager in our Vet Services department! The Shelter Clinic Manager is responsible for budget/inventory oversight, as well as management of department resources to meet established goals and objectives. He/she implements, and maintains documentation of, medical protocol and policy updates under the direction of the Medical Director. He/she manages our clinic team of licensed technicians, veterinary assistants, and receptionists and is committed to providing excellent ongoing training and mentorship for their team. The ideal candidate possesses excellent customer service skills and a passion for building relationships with community partners and supporters. Excellent communication, problem-solving and collaboration skills are a must for joining our dynamic, multi-department operations team. Human Resources Generalist

Seattle Humane is looking for a part-time HR Generalist to join our team! The HR Generalist will assist with the hiring process, new employee orientation and paperwork, benefits administration, employee relations, training and other HR duties. We are seeking someone with:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field, or related experience.
• Proven organizational and planning skills with a demonstrated ability to lead and manage. Effective written and verbal communication skills.  Have a goals and objectives orientation, and ability to achieve the same. Ability and initiative to work with minimal supervision and direction. Ability to organize, meet deadlines, delegate tasks, to supervise and evaluate work force. A self-starter, facilitator, organizer and innovator.
• Ability to communicate skillfully and effectively with a culturally diverse staff, volunteers and community in a professional, pleasant, respectful, courteous and tactful manner at all times. Maturity, good judgment and professional manner.

Staff Accountant

Seattle Humane has a terrific opportunity in our accounting department! The Staff Accountant is responsible for processing accounts payable, daily cash ledgers, accounts receivables, accounting system data entry work, reconciling accounts and filing of all appropriate paperwork. Must have excellent computer skills including data input, accounting background and experience and be able to work independently. Intermediate to advanced Excel & Word. Must have excellent oral communication skills, good writing skills and can listen effectively. Understanding of general accounting theory, wage and labor law and non-profit regulations a must. Seattle Humane has an opening for a weekend Receptionist! This position is primarily responsible for incoming calls, greeting visitors and processing mail. Must possess extraordinary customer service skills, be able to stay cool under pressure, maintain a positive attitude and love people and pets! Veterinary Assistant

Dog Training Instructor

Seattle Humane’s new shelter is open and we are seeking a Dog Training Instructor! The Dog Training Instructor is responsible for developing and implementing public dog training classes at Seattle Humane. The Dog Trainer designs and implements six-week training curriculum, including homework, for customers and their dogs using positive reinforcement techniques and clicker training. Must have one year of experience working as a professional dog trainer using force-free techniques based on current scientific knowledge of learning theory.  Ideal candidates own and operate a private, licensed, and insured dog training business. Adoption Advisor

If you are a people-person who would love to help animals find a home of their own, this position may be just right for you! The Adoption Advisor is responsible for working with the public to match the appropriate animal to the interested applicant.  Your role will be to educate and assist our very special customers so they go home with their new best friend.  Customer service experience and animal handling background will put you ahead of the pack! 

Animal Care Assistant

Here at Seattle Humane, we care for hundreds of fabulous felines and cute canines every day and each one requires care tailored to their needs. From feeding and cleaning to grooming and moving, an Animal Care Assistant’s job is fast-paced and fun. Not only do you get to work with amazing cats and dogs, but you get to work with the best darn people around- our volunteers! Animal Care Assistants are the glue that keeps the shelter running so if you're motivated, hard-working, and interested in animal care, apply today! This is a part-time position, shifts require at least one weekend day.
