We have a terrific opportunity in our accounting department! The Bookkeeper is responsible for processing accounts payable, daily cash ledgers, accounts receivables, accounting system data entry work and filing of all appropriate paperwork. Also responsible for mail and daily deposits. Must have excellent computer skills including data input, accounting background and experience and be able to work independently. Intermediate to advanced Excel. Understanding of general accounting theory, wage and labor law and non-profit regulations a must. Knowledge of ADP payroll processing a plus. 

Veterinary Assistant

We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join the shelter’s clinic team. We are a nationally recognized nonprofit shelter that provides high quality medical care to our shelter guests. We also perform over 2,500 public spay/neuter surgeries annually with plans to expand. Come to Seattle Humane, and make a daily difference in the lives of animals in our community! Surgery assisting experience, strong communication and teamwork skills and a commitment to providing a high level of care to the clinic’s patients are a must. This is a part-time position working 20-25 hours per week.

Animal Care Assistant

Are you a cat person? We have cats in several different areas of our shelter and all need food, water, clean blankets and a clean litter pan every day. If you would like to work with the cats in our care, you might consider applying for an Animal Care Assistant position. This is a part-time morning position

Kennel Technician

We have an opening in our kennel department for a Kennel Technician. This position is primarily cleaning and caring for our canine shelter guests. Hosing, scrubbing, feeding and laundry – oh my! Shelter experience and animal handling background will put you ahead of the pack! This is a full-time position. Availability to work both weekend days is a must.

Adoption Advisor

If you are a people-person who would love to help animals find a home of their own, this position may be just right for you! The Adoption Advisor is responsible for working with the public to match the appropriate animal to the interested applicant. You must have terrific customer service skills, an outgoing personality and great juggling skills - lots of multi-tasking. We have part-time positions available.
